Not Understood...

She's there when you're happy
She's there when you're crappy
She wipes away your tears
She takes away your fears

But what if she yells when you're happy
Tells you to suck it up when you're crappy
What if instead of wiping the tears away, only bring more
Or instead of taking fears, putting more in store

A mother wants to give you what's best for you
And pushes you into wanting to be true
A mother punishes to show responsibility
And always shows positivity

Yet she really wants you to be as good as her
Not pushing for truth, but pushing for character
She doesn't punish for responsibility,
but rather being taken seriously

Most find their mothers screaming at them for the dumbest things
Grounding them for all the small somethings
Mothers wonder why their kids hate them so
It's about they took a look in our minds today, no

Why can't they understand, how hard it is for us
To keep good grades, a job, and a social group
Why can't they be there during anything
And just laugh it off like how it use to be...
