Existance Of Choice

by Heather M Craig   Feb 22, 2005

"God doesn't love you." she cried.
"His existance is false, the Bible lied!"
A teen's pain shoots down my throat,
To place His blame is her antecdote.

Every choice she made wrong,
every struggle that passed along,
her enlightening faith faded
till the name of Christ was hated.

Ceased beliefs with every fight,
her every wrong felt so right.
To doubt and trash his name
for who else was to blame?

"Who is to judge if He's really there?
Our beliefs contrast and compare.
I believe God blessed me with pain,
my struggles have helped me to gain.

As you believe the torment is a curse,
I tend to look from the worse.
I respect your word of voice
but the faith relies on your choice."

hey there, I think this poem is about me...I don't hate or blame christ because I don't believe he's my savior just a remarkably developed soul in history like almost every other "prophet"..and actually I see all my problems as blessings not negative, I love that I've been through so much because it's shaped me into the empathetic person i am today..and I'm fine with someone choosing to follow Jesus as means to cope with life, it only becomes a problem when they let it control them so much that they unknowingly become contradictory to what a christian is..

Point well written... religiona and faith is a choice, not something that can be dictated by someone else... I'd like to ask you a few questions on this one if I ever get a chance to! (Working doubles sucks!!!) Great work!!!!
