An Angel with Broken Wings

by Leah   Feb 23, 2005

A deep grey sky...
An angel, lying in the rain,
still alive,
but about to die...

A furious God
on the brink of explosion...
One poor hurt angel,
her soul a delusion...

The water is drowning out,
all the Angels blessing...

The devil in a fire,
of happiness...
Lost in gambling...

Everyone pondering
about what they should do...

God and the Devil...
In sweet argue..

The Angel managing
to stand for a while...

Cutting off her own wings,
still in denile...

A poor helpless angel,
with two broken wings,

Giving herself
her own blessings...
Putting the knife
back in the kitchen...

An Angel without wings...
Now a human...

But still dying
from the cold...
A poor past Angel
Standing bold...

Standing up..
Up to the fire..
Now on an earth
she can admire.

An Angel today,
Great human tomorrow,
Steering free of pain,
Of God's question,
And Devil's overwelming sorrow...

It is life, she gets to borrow...
