Ashes

by cac123   Feb 24, 2005

I walk across this burning bridge,
flaming memories turn to ash,
and drown in the cold unforgiving ocean they dissolve into nothingness, lost in the abyss... forgotten.

Broken pieces fall all around me,
I'm trying to catch them,
trying to repair all the damage
that i caused.

Cuz if i don't beat this race against time,
i will soon be berried,
i will lose myself in the sea beneath. Its hateful waves call my name, ready to take my fate in its hands.
I will forget and be forgotten.

I can't reach the other side,
can't run away from myself,
stuck in slow motion,
cant escape the collapsing fire,
thats burning all thats left of me,
until I'm gone.
