You're my Mother, not my Friend

by dandy   Feb 24, 2005

Why can't you understand;
just understand I'm mad at you?

You wonder why I never share;
Never share my feelings.

So uncomfortable around you,
bacause all you ever do is criticize,
like all my truths are lies.

You ask why I tell Dad things and not you;
I don't confide in you because you don't have a clue.
Have a clue how I'm feeling;
can't tell what I'm dealing, with.

Everything I say is false, there's always something wrong.
I try and let you know my feelings,
but you're too far gone;
gone in your own opinions,
too busy to listen to mine.

Parents and friends are two separate things;
you and me, we're not close.
You say one thing and then deny it;
that hurts me the most.

If you don't trust me; then just say it.
Don't lie to me damm*t!

I have to hand it to you,
you never cease to hurt me;
How no one else does.
So we're not friends because;
mom, you make me cry more than I'll ever let you know.
