This is My Curse

I keep telling myself it’ll end,
The pain will go away,
But I guess its as stubborn as me,
b/c it continues to stay.

I tried to cut it out of me,
But the razor wouldn’t go that deep,
No one ever warned me
The downhill of rejection was so steep.

I thought the tears would flood it out,
The didn’t though, its still there,
This would be so much easier,
If I just didn’t care.

But, that’s my curse b/c I do,
No matter how hard I try,
And I know this pain will stay w/ me,
Until the day I die.
