In My Mind

In my mind and in my heart
I had screamed NO
But you tore me apart
I had not the strength to go

Whispers turned to screams
But only in my mind they stayed
Haunting my once joyous dreams
That night continually replayed

Smiles burnt into dust
In my mind I don’t say NO
Death and peace seems a must
But I have not the strength to go

And I stay in my bitter shell
Prematurely doomed to hell.
