Waiting for you

by nikki   Feb 24, 2005

Waiting in the cold dark street
For you to pass me by
I’ve seen all you friends leave
But you haven’t caught my eye

But I’ll continue waiting
Until you walk this way
I’ll be here today,
tomorrow,
the next day
Waiting
Waiting for you

Wishing you wouldn’t take so long
I left my gloves at home
Your probably going to get angry
That I waited here alone

But I’ll continue waiting
Until you walk this way
I’ll be here today,
tomorrow,
the next day
Waiting
Waiting for you

You might of got kept behind
that’s the only reason you wouldn’t show
You wouldn’t keep me waiting
You wouldn’t, I know

But I’ll continue waiting
Until you walk this way
I’ll be here today,
tomorrow,
the next day
Waiting
Waiting for you

It’s getting really late now
My mum wants me home for corrie
So as I wait for the next bus
I text you and say sorry

But I’ll continue waiting
Until you walk this way
I’ll be here today,
tomorrow,
the next day
Waiting
Waiting for you

The bus goes straight past me
It did that yesterday as well
You didn’t turn up yesterday
Your putting me through hell

But I’ll continue waiting
Until you walk this way
I’ll be here today,
tomorrow,
the next day
Waiting
Waiting for you

I start to walk the long walk home
And the cold gets in my eye
For no apparent reason
I just began to cry

But I’ll continue waiting
Until you walk this way
I’ll be here today,
tomorrow,
the next day
Waiting
Waiting for you

I seen you across the road
A smile lit my face
But it was as if you looked right through me
And began to pick up pace

But I’ll continue waiting
Until you walk this way
I’ll be here today,
tomorrow,
the next day
Waiting
Waiting for you

That’s when you start to cry
I couldn’t stand the pin
And for some stupid feeling
I felt I was to blame

But I’ll continue waiting
Until you walk this way
I’ll be here today,
tomorrow,
the next day
Waiting
Waiting for you

You stood by the bunch of flowers
Were I wait everyday after school
Were you was suppose to wait for me
But I stand alone, like a fool

But I’ll continue waiting
Until you walk this way
I’ll be here today,
tomorrow,
the next day
Waiting
Waiting for you

I try and grab your hand
But you move your hand away
You place it on your heart
And suddenly, the feelings went away

But I’ll continue waiting
Until you walk this way
I’ll be here today,
tomorrow,
the next day
Waiting
Waiting for you

You shake your head and move away
And I continue walking home
You walk across the crossing
And I walk the street alone

But I’ll continue waiting
Until you walk this way
I’ll be here today,
tomorrow,
the next day
Waiting
Waiting for you

wow, that's so sad, long, but sad, awesome work nikki, it really shows true emotions, and the repetition of that stanza... it's great.
