Frightened girl
you want protection
from the big world
that seems to be out to get you
you want to go hide
from what’s ever out there
but most of all
you want someone there
to comfort you
and chase all your fears away
but no one seems to be coming
which makes you
want to break down
and pray that someone
will soon come to
chase away those fears
and will always be there
to keep them away
and help you face these
fears with reassurance
but now your comfort
decides to leave you
and the frightening things
come rushing back
now you have to go
find a new comfort
to chase all your
fears away again
now you pray that this
new comfort will never leave you
