Stairway to heaven

Today i woke up, I woke up in heaven...
funny,..I don't remember sleeping..
My thoughts fly back to last night...
It was the greatest day ever,my birthday, sweet 16! Ah yea i remember my two best friends and I, we laughed, we talked of our future college years to come, how we would all be friends forever. But we drank not one drink. I would listen to mothers advice and i knew it would pay off. Mom always knew what she was saying. 3:00 in the morning, we went out for our ritual late night/early morning cruise. The roads were ours, no one around, but still we followed all drivers rules. As we were reaching the point of our destination.."home", we saw we weren't the only late night cruisers, but something was different about this car. It drove out of control and fearless. Its headlights were no longer dots in the distance, they were like huge eyes staring into my soul. I tried swerving, but it didn't work, this car had no fear. It hit me head on, then dark was all i saw, but i heard many voices. Some saying "Only sixteen",.."the other men were drunk" Then i heard a familiar voice...MY MOM! Oh i how i missed her, I tried to move my arms to hug her but it was as if her voice was fading the more i reached for her. Then there was the voice "she's gone"...."The other two are going to make it."
I Scream to myself over and over "WAKE UP!"
But i don't awake,..here i am still in heaven.
I look down past the clouds and see my two special friends, my mom my dad, all of my family. They are all kneeling..its then i hear there thoughts and prayers. "Dear lord, take her into heaven with you" Tear drops fall from there faces. I reach down with my hands and grab there tears, and throw them back down, rain falls for all distances. They look up and smile. I turn away to climb the stairway to heaven, knowing they'll be okay...I'll miss you all, see you when you climb these stairs.
