Shattered Glass

by Leah   Feb 25, 2005

In her mind she was a clown,
But on the outside she wore a frown...

A jail she created in her own mind,
But she faked a smile, told everyone she was fine...

More and more cuts appeared on her back, but wisdom was not what she lacked...

She lacked the attention, of everyone around, an invisible kingdom she went to, whenever her smiles turned upside down...

A volcano errupting in her head,
Wishing she wasn't here, creating visions, of what could be, if she was dead...

Didn't understand what she could do, to keep her mind from wandering into a long lost canoe...

The doctor told her to take these pills, to keep her stable, from wanting to kill...

She lay on her bed,
In full delusion,
She wish to her life,
It healed a conclusion...

Crying lost invisible tears,
Too many more useless years...

In her eyes nothing mattered...

In our eyes,

Her ghostly soul shattered...

Wish, her last,

Hoping people will remember her soul,

Like shattered glass...
