The Story of Columbine

by DMG   Feb 26, 2005

A hatred bound by bleeding tears
To the death of all its peers,
Wanting with such great desire
Death of all, bullets of fire,
Shooting through the flesh of life
Piercing like a sharpened knife,
Skulls and bones shatter, pain
Children scream, blood is rain,
School alarms ring so loud
Murderers do as vowed,
Pull the trigger with no end
Death with every fingers’ bend,
Screams and final gasps for air
Come from students, so unfair,
A few outcasts unload clips
As more skulls shatter like chips,
Police come but are too late
Killers, with death, have a date,
Pull the trigger one last time
Blood drips down, red as wine,
A school shootout leaves many dead
Parents mourn an empty bed,
Never again will their sun shine
So is the story of Columbine.

This is fantastic! The story of Columbine was so sad and tragic. So many young lives lost, so many futures now unknown. Heartless killers taken someone's daughter, son, brother, sister or even a friend....Someone who meant so much to someone...
You done an excellent job on this poem!
