I used to wish.
I'd wish you were mine,
That we'd kiss each night.
I'd wish we were one,
Holding each other tight.
I'd wish we were friends,
Laughing to no end.
But when I woke up
From that wishing dream,
I'd feel the sharp, cold sting
From reality setting in.
I found out that WE
Could never be;
I learned that
Wishing only ruins the heart...
