Doubt, Despair and Hate

by Michael D Nalley   Feb 26, 2005

I don’t’ think I have a mind
There are no answers to find

I do not expect anything
The winter knows not the spring

My heart is frozen like a cold night
It cannot feel the warmth of light

I long for death so it will end
Because I can’t find a true friend

Had I not just read your comment I was about to say that this is everything opposite to what I think you believe in and most certainly write about.
For me this was a very absorbing poem, it was so enigmatic provoking alot of thought within me.

    Kind regards
    Your friend

I should have explained this poem it is the opposite of what I usually write about, which is faith, hope, and charity. these virtues are necessary for any healthy spirit. I wrote this poem as a challenge to write a poem that was the opposite of my style. I can't say I have never felt this way, but by the grace of God I do not feel that way now. I am glad you did not like it May God bless you It Itty and thanks for the comment.
