The pissants of night

by Unrequited   Feb 27, 2005

My heart aches with troubled silence
as you carried it home and held it tight
the sharks that swim in my deep blue sea
wonder exactly what you are worth
the oven-like pain disappears
when you are here

anger
pain
rage
silence
…gone

the tell-tale readings and signals
enter the deserted streets of hell
they shout for me not to follow
‘cause this is where love dies
my fiery angel of destiny
leads me down your path
opposite that lonesome road

today my soul shines bright
for now my time has come
i hope that you need me
for i will wither and die without you
the spyders of night crawl away
as death will eat their heads

and now we are safe
to live our lives again
arm in arm, hand in hand
