Lost in time

We are lost in future
And memories of past
Locked away from modern times
Lost potential vast

The seemingly unending
Is closer now than then
But the never ending future
Is always where and when

Lost in past or over looking
We never see what’s there
Always moving too fast
To never know or care

The future becomes the past
And is only present for a moment
Then it’s off to be behind us
Before we know we owned it

Society is the one to blame
Corporations that steal time
Always looking forward so
Each moment is another dime

With us it is never now
Always future or the past
Seen before it reaches us
Gone before a chance to last

Our time has come to seize the moment
To make each second real
Live only for forever now
Live it all in zeal
