Heart Calling

She was with her group of friends
When she noticed one guy
He turned around
And met her eyes

He walked straight up to her
And asked her to dance
She thought for a moment
Then took up her chance

She looked to the eyes
That she wanted to see
Then finally asked,
“Why did you choose me?”

He looked down at her
To the face filled with glee
And answered her back,
“‘Cause your heart was calling me.”

He looked in her eyes
As he wanted an answer
For he wanted to know
Why she accepted his offer

“Why?” he asks,
“Did you accept my offering?”
She smiles and answers
“‘Cause you heard my heart calling.”
