Can't be good

by Casey   Feb 28, 2005

It can't be good
For what's left of my sanity
To spend my days
Thinking of how we used to be.

I can't eat
Your eyes stare back at me
In reflections of spoons and plates
Smiling like I'm all you wanted to see.

I lie awake because
I dream so deep
That I could swear you were here
Whispering in my ear as I sleep.

I can't think straight
So vivid are my memories of you
That I lose hold of reality
And get lost in making old times new.
