Angel in Darkness

There is always a person,
that's close to your heart.
Identical in thought,
meant never to part.

How strange it seems they
always know what to say.
How wonderful it is
they are there every day.

With a smile to dry
a river of tears.
With a hug that diminishes
every last fear.

A welcoming hand
to those who are lost.
Always staying up late
no matter the cost.

Someone like that
I truly would miss.
So where are you now,
My Angel in darkness?
