Late at night, I’m laying awake
All that I can think of is you. . .
These thoughts I have,
These memories of time spent with you…
They keep my mind awake, keep my heart beating.
. . .And it’s well known
That all of what I know is limited
But what I do know is as follows:
I could wander the earth for one thousand years
And even then still not come across someone quite like you.
There’s just something about you
The way you hold and hug me
The way you kiss and caress me
The way you look at me with your beautiful eyes
The way you smile whenever those eyes meet mine
Something just tells me that you might be the one.
Something deep inside, something that I’m feeling.
There’s always this unexplainable longing. . .
Always this longing to be by your side when I’m not
And then when this longing is sufficed and you appear in my arms
I get this feeling. . .
This feeling too is near unexplainable.
Nothing yet has been found by me to be as amazing as having you in my arms
Nothing is quite as lovely as having you stare into my eyes
Nothing bears resemblance to that moment when our lips meet
Nothing brings more joy to me than knowing I’m the one that makes you happy
Nothing will ever come close to this love that I feel for you
No one can ever take this place that you hold in my heart.
I knew from the moment I first met you
That you were something extraordinary. . .
I need you to know that I will always be there for you. . .
. . .always be true to you.
I can’t imagine being with anyone else
You are the one that I always want to be with
The one I want to hold in my arms forever.
And I say this with one last hopeful sigh:
I hope that everything about the way I feel for you
Is exactly the way you feel about me. . .
And so as I lay awake, thinking of you
The only thing keeping my heart beating
Is the hope that while you lie in your bed
I’m the one keeping you awake, the one running through your dreams.
