He Cried

Crying wasn't cool,
it is something that only girls do,
he was only in elementary school,
but no tear could be shown,
because no boys crying was simply the rule,

when he fell and scraped his knee,
when he was grounded for a week,
no tears did he release,
he hled it deep within,
he picked himself up and kept going on,

until he graduated high school,
felt a broken heart,
he felt so alone,
but that boy never wept,
he sucked it up and just moved on,

he found a hob and got married,
he knew he had to stay strong,
no wife wants a whip as a husband,
so he had to stay strong with no weaknesses to show,
but then comes his mothers death,

the tears weld up in his eyes,
as i stood by his side,
he simply whispered " no strong boy cries,"
but i replied " i want a man who cries in front of his wife,
admits that he's sad, and holds nothing back,

if you don't want the world to know,
they will not find out,
just let me hold you and help you through,"
he gave me a hug,
but no tear did he ever let go,

years had passed,
as he held it in,
not one single tear,
did he dare to share,
because strong boys simply do not cry.

the doctors said the news,
i had cancer, but it is too late,
pretty soon i will die,
before the age of 43,
to think of dieing sent chills down my spine,

but once cance took me,
it was the middle of the night,
he was there to hug me,
that was the night his weakness shown through,
rain left his eyes,
it was the night that he cried.

~ really i don't see what the big deal is if a guy cries any ways, but thats just what i think.~
