What's Really There

by BreatheNoMore   Mar 1, 2005

Why is it the happier I am
The more fearful i become
My thoughts fly by too fast too loud
Explanations die before they've begun

My life is like the shadows on the street
Stepping out of bitterness into the sun
To step back into ebony

You can take back your suburbia
Filled with patches of grass and tied down trees
A sorry representation of life
Yet the tragedy man fails to see

Not negative just truthful
Why can't we say the words we mean?
Softening our blatant thoughts
So we're always caught too far between

Not dictating for the anti-christ
Just working with what's really there
Not focusing on madness
Just preaching how to leave despair
