Gone

Her tears flow like a river
out of her deep brown eyes,
and ran down her face,
the day he said goodbye.

The soft touch of a warm embrace
was what she felt that day.
When he gave her that last hug,
She knew her love couldn't stay.

The clouds looked down on her
as tears ran down her face.
She was torn up inside
when he turned around and left that place.

Now she looks back and remembers
the day they first met,
she remembers being so happy.
That’s a day she’ll never forget.

But now it’s all over,
and her feelings still grow.
But it’s too late because he’s leaving,
as her tears continue to overflow.
