There Lay His Ashes

In the water oh so blue,
there lay his ashes through and through,
the water ripples through the bank,
there lay his ashes oh so dank.

In the sand oh so yellow,
there lay his ashes of a young fellow,
through the rocks and the sand,
there lay his ashes running through my hand.

I can hold him close to me,
deep in my mind his smile i can see,
why did he have to leave me that way?
I still think of him and cry day to day.

I know that he is in heaven and he is safe,
he is in a better place,
watching over me making sure that i am alright,
help me to sleep better at night.

He is my guardian angel and i will never forget,
for i know that his heart is filled with regret,
such angry last words should not have been said,
but here they are running through my head.

They will be reunited one day up above,
and then to eachother can show their love,
my dad says it is time to head back,
i will come back and visit you soon grandpa.
