The Run

by Hail   Mar 2, 2005

My life is over as I new it
I tried to save it but I just blew it
Into the night the shadow comes
It calls your name you better RUN

He chases after you and you fall down
Because they always do in the movies in town
As you scuffle to your feet it’s to late you done been beat
He grabs you by your little arm and picks you up you can run no more

He’s looking at you with his big mean eyes
Out of breath you start to cry
He puts you down you feel relief

You hear the sound of that of bees
And the pain it starts to grow up above your knees it hurt you so
You skip around not to miss a beat
But dear old dad has got you beat
With every skip jump and hop
Dad lands that belt on just the right spot

He asks you son why did you run
All I asked is for you to clean your room my son
