Act of Grief

I would like to talk to you
about my friend in grief
her dad beat her up
accused her of a thief

shes not there anymore
moved in with her mom
very strict household
better then where she came from

she almost gave it up
her life i mean
then she realized she had a best friend
she said that friend was me

a lot has happened to her
she has the guts to tell
went through so much
to get where she is now

she said i saved her
said i have a brave heart
i think she is the strongest of them all
very creative and very smart

she walked through the fire
ran through the rain
was there for me, herself, and family
while dealing with her own pain

she told me i was so strong
for giving what i gave
i think she is after all
i'm the one she saved

we have always stuck together
since the day we became friends
we are each others hero
will the very end

this was originally for a poem i had to write in class but i kinda liked it decided to put it on here. this is for my best friend who has been through so much and has lived through it and still tells me i'm the stronger one, shes the best friend i have ever had we are always here for each other and when my teacher told me to write about an act of bravery she was the first person who came to mind please vote and tell me what you think!¿!
