Daddy's Guardian Angel

by Jacklyn   Mar 2, 2005

Her daddy sat on the couch crying.
Ever since mommy disappeared.
She walked up to him slowly,
And whispered one question sweet and clear,
“Daddy do you think mommy is happy?”
As water filled her eyes,
Then her daddy spoke with a sigh,
“Your mommy is smiling real pretty,
She had joined all the stars that are shinny,
She is in your dreams to make them sweet,
As she sings you to sleep,
She is a guardian angel,
Watching over both you and me,
She wants you to be happy,
For you to smile everyday,”
He gave his daughter a big loving hug,
He whispered in her ear,
“Honey, as long as you are happy,
Mommy is smiling,
She is our guardian angel,
Watching over both you and me.”

    Jacklyn,

    The title looks much better.
I read it, it was pretty good.
You still spelled angel wrong in the poem. :D
Sorry, I'm kind of picky about spelling.
I did not give you the 1 by the way. In case you were wondering.
