Silenced Calls

by Kaitlin Kristina   Mar 3, 2005

I fill a thousand empty spaces
With every drop of blood

And I kill all of the lies and faces
With every line I cut

I drive away my sullen fears
With a razors edge that’s sharp

Dismay with my streaming tears
As the skin begins to part

Crimson red,
Scarred streaks,
Every emotion,
Now complete.

A thousand voids now filled
Scarlet puddles , iced and chilled

The faces no longer exist,
The lies they tell are now dismissed

Driven away, my sullen fears,
I spill my blood, no longer tears

Dismay streaming as the blood now falls
So my aching heart has now silenced calls.

Let me know what you think, thanks

I really don't know what to say... I think it's a good poem, it's not too intriguing though. I have written cutting poems too- though I don't do it, and I am ashamed of writing of a topic so oftenly used.
But that's not my thoughts on this poem; your work is different enough to be creative, even if the theme has been used many times.
So, well done, and I am sorry if I have made little sense with my comments.
    :-) keep writing.

Je sais, je sais. I have condescended to cutting poem level. Anyway check out, "Contention," its more your style, plus you will actually understand it, versus other people... who... you know... wont.

Not a fan of cutty poems but this one fills all the criteria. Good job.
