Snowy monument

by Sinister Soire   Mar 3, 2005

Snowflakes fall around a pool
Icy on the frozen ground
Slowly drifting from the heavens
Where it falls without a sound

Settling in and around the puddle
Bringing to it a white tint
Cooling it closer and closer
To the frozen icy glint

White and red are such a contrast
Blood flowing into snow
Flowing from an already frozen corpse
Already lost its divine glow

Cold and frozen in its deadly deed
The cold blade still in hand
Freezing blood on its blade
Soaking slowly into land

Until it is completely frozen
A red rock stuck to the ground
A monument to the pain of man
A monument of deathly silent sound

I think this one were a little likely to "Answers from the snow" (sorry, I read them backwards), but it doesen't matter because I really liked that one too. Snow is such a good thing to write about....
