Diamonds in your eyes

by PAUL HEWSON   Mar 3, 2005

The Splintered reflection of light
found the diamonds in your eyes
And the never ending whispered winds
played with your hair that danced as with wings
every descending summer sun
silhouetted the beauty that you,d become
The first snow flake that fell on your face
is as cold as the chill in this now empty place
and the sun now descends and flickers and burns
theres no silhouette and theres no where to turn
and the everlasting love that i gave
was from the side of your cradle
to the foot of your grave.

This is such a breathtaking piece! I loved these lines:

    "The Splintered reflection of light
found the diamonds in your eyes"

Sheer brilliance with a tremor of tragic sadness! Superbly written from an amazing poet~Holly
