Teardrops

by Diana   Mar 4, 2005

A teardrop sees
A teardrop shows
A teardrop feels
What we cannot

A teardrop contains
A million things
A lost hope
Broken wings
As fallen angels
Trying to sing
A teardrop wells

A teardrop tries
To take your pain
To bleed away
The poison, the shame

Teardrops course
Down every cheek
A full and salty, bitter creek
All over the world

Teardrops fall
Splatter and splash
Comforting, teaching, healing all

And thus I shed this teardrop
Full of saline qualms
Another teardrop adding to
A river of emotion
Full of drowning souls
