Been Here Before

I remember this place
I’ve been here before
Looking for your face
Knocking at your door

Then I saw you
My heart sunk to the floor
It happened again
My heart broke a little more

My techniques are flawed
You turned your back on me
And walked away once more

I remember this room
I’ve been here before
With your back to me
Walking away once more…
Once more

I tried to follow you through the door
But you’ve disappeared around the corner
A muted scream tries to leave my jaw
I fall to my knees, it happened again

Time and time again I fall
So I try to stand
Time and time again I crawl
I can’t take this any more

So here I am again
I have been here before
Whispering your name
Waiting you’re your call

You brush past me
Pretend I don’t exist any more
Is this the way it has to be?
You look back, then walk away

I have been here before
With your back to me
Walking away once more…
Once more
