Out In The Dark

by Heather   Mar 4, 2005

Out In The Dark,
Is Where Her Car Is Parked.
It's The Only Place She Has To Sleep,
The Only Place That She Can Dream.

She Has To Sleep Out In The Cold,
It's An Ugly Place For Her Beautiful Soul.
She Would Give Anything, To Sleep With Him Again,
But She Knew Where To Draw The Line, She Knew It Had To End.

He Told Her As She Screamed And Cried,
That She Had Cheated, And She Had Lied.
And Then He Threw Her Out In The Street,
With No Love To Save, And No Love To Keep.

When She Looked Inside His Eyes,
There Were Secrets, And There Were Lies.
She Knew She Had To Run And Hide,
Only To Run Away From The Tears She Cried.

He Knew Where He Wanted Her, He Wanted Her Lost,
She Didn't Need To Be Punished, For Any Pain That She Caused.
She Repeated In Her Mind, The Words That He Said,
And Tried Night And Day, To Get Them Out Of Her Head.

But Now She Is Safe, From His Harsh And Hurtful Words, And She Does Not Have To Believe, The Things She Has Heard.
And Now She Lives In Her Car, Trying To Stay Warm,
She Is Away From Him, And Away From His Harm.
