Glistening light comes seeping through the window of my soul.
The morning sunshine bouncing off the shattered pieces of my heart.
The reflecting light illuminates every ache within me.
As this new dawn breaks I reminisce to the time when the deep, ineffable feeling of love pulsated in our hearts.

As the monotonous days drift by I pick up the pieces of my fragmented dreams wishing night to fall.
Wishing for those dreams where you still hold my hand in yours.
But dawn breaks again uprooting me, tearing me away from you once more.
Leaving me ever more hurt to the interminable grief of days gone by
and awakening me to the heartache ahead.
