Ignorance

by Kari Nichols   Mar 4, 2005

Take a look in the mirror.
What do you think you see?
I see a girl who's internally starting to bleed.

Her father is gone,
Her mom is a w h o r e.
She can't find a reason to live anymore.

The blood's getting to the surface,
She's feeling the pain.
Nothing to lose,
Nothing to gain.

Ten minutes down
The pain is gone fast,
Using illegal drugs to forget her past.

Death didn't come soon enough for her,
But once she used the gun
It all blurred.

Her mother doesn't notice she's dead.
She thinks her daughter's asleep
In her tiny blood filled bed.
