Fire That Burns

by CynicxSincexBirth   Mar 5, 2005

The fire that burns deep in her eyes
Slowly now, is fading inside
Watch her with ease
As she begs and pleas
Asking with a sad little face
For God to grant her, with his grace
Tears streaming down her innocent cheeks
Throat too tight, she cannot speak
Lonely now, she hides in herself
waiting for, something else.
Don't make a sound,
She's fallen to the ground.
Listen while she makes a sigh
Looking to the sky and wondering why.
Why did everything go so wrong?
Why can't she ever truly belong?
Somethings not right,
she's refused to fight.
Her will to live is hanging by a string,
waiting for that irresistible sting.
One drop followed by another.
She's making cuts all over.
Can't ever stop now
It feels too good somehow.
Turning her head, to check the damage,
A slow smile, she is able to manage.
Looking at her bloody arm,
Loving every cut of simplicit harm.
The floor jumps up, and lays her flat
All her blood, making a splat.
Waking up, to yelling and screaming.
She tries to go back to morbid dreaming.
The echoes of footsteps and heavy breathing,
He comes through her door, truly seething.
Pulling her hair, and yanking her to a stand.
Waiting while he smacks her with his hand.
Crying now, she stands to face the pain.
Thinking too bad, I'm going insane.
As he leaves she stumbles to the door.
Closing it shut, she falls to the floor.
Crawling to her table, she pulls out a pen and paper
Quickly she scribbles her reasons and a prayer.
Taking out her beloved blade, used to take away her pain.
She drags the blade across her vein.
And swallows some pills as she lies on her bed
Waiting for the moment she will be dead.
Closing her eyes, to dream her last dream.
Her family walks in, and together they let out one last...
Scream.......
