Her Final Goodbye

by Jess   Mar 5, 2005

She sits in her room
Tears running down her face
She has come to a decision
No longer can she face

All of the hurt
All the things they say
She always puts on a smile
And looks the other way

But at the end of the day,
when she gets home
she realises that she is surrounded
but she feels so alone.

She cant do it anymore -
pretending she dosent care
she tells everyone it dosent matter
when she knows it isnt fair.

She knows enough is enough
And she will take it no more
She looks round the room
And closes the door

She goes to her draw, finds some pills
Already prepared
To put an end to her pain
That she has never shared

She lays on the bed
Where she’s cried so many tears
Where she has wept her heart out
Over the many years

She swallows the pills
With the vodka next to her bed
She knows it shouldn’t be too long
Until she is dead

She starts to get drowsy
But there is something she must do
She writes a letter
Describing all she has been through

Then as the pills start to work,
And she starts to fall asleep
She hopes people will remember the girl,
With the pain so deep.
