My Luminous Stars

by Heather M Craig   Mar 5, 2005

To escape from the steady pain
to watch night descend before me
to look up to the luminous stars,
I feel I have connected to heaven's sea.

For the depths that enter my soul,
from the fading day to glorious night.
I have encountered among my troubles,
the only hope in my star lights.

With nothing around me but the bitter cold
that sends chills through my spine,
I feel the tear fall from my bathetic eyes
where every star has begun to outshine.

Upon my silent, misunderstood frame,
lies an endless stream of contagious hurt...
upon the stars that glaze upon me
is the temporary feeling of comfort.

My luminous stars, the gates of heaven,
In my journey, I approach softly tonight
but in the whispering winds that touch
My stars fade in the disappearance of my light.

-Heather M Craig-

I guess this could of been placed in a lot of different categories but I placed it here instead for the feeling of one with nature but nature always opens your eyes to other feelings as well.

no sweetheart, i meant bathetic, bathetic means overemotional/sadness/etc...check a thesaurus if you don't believe me but hey, don't feel bad, I taught my poetry teacher the meaning too :)

    with love,
