Oscar Wilde....one of my few favorites.
there are many poets who make me feel like im terribly awful in poetry. but he makes me feel so the most.
this poem is from "The Ballad Of Reading Gaol"
im guessing u prolly know all abt it...very deep and insigtful....
shows how wen he was prosecuted to the Reading gaol (or prison) in england...for homosexual activities...how that got him to "cleanse" his soul
very powerful...beautifully constructed poem..
