Love Comes

by Daniel Mulvany   Mar 6, 2005

Theres only one that I adore,
Which I will love forevermore.
The reason why I love her so,
And never want to let her go,
Is cause of how she clings to me,
In times of hardship, times of need.
And when she looks into my eyes,
And with a sudden such surprize,
Says the words, "I love you.",
So I say back, "I love you too."
Her outside and her inner self,
Is what makes all my earthly wealth,
Nothing to what I have found;
A love so utterly profound,
That words alone could not begin,
To describe my heart within,
And how so fully I've began,
To start over and learn again,
To love. I said I never would,
But simply had misunderstood,
That love, it cannot be denied,
And I know before I've tried.
But that was not what I had when,
I thought I had it way back then.
Lust and love, confused in me,
But I have found them out to be,
Things in life I had to learn,
And in that I have had my turn.
Concluded this, and listen friends;
Whenever your searching the ends,
Of earth to find that love you must,
Learn to keep from finding lust,
By letting love first come to you,
And this I promise if you do.
You'll find love like that distant star,
Which seems to lay there oh so far,
Will come to be a step away,
And when it comes its there to stay.
