From Above

by Daniel Mulvany   Mar 6, 2005

I held you through your darkest hour,
Still you didn't know My name.
I stuck right by you through it all,
Even though you brought Me shame.
I yet never gave up on you,
Through all of your dismay.
I hoped for you to come to Me,
Each and every day.
Then one day I came to you,
Again as I'd before.
You also felt the urge to push,
Away from Me once more.
But My spirit came upon you,
And filled you with such love,
That you knew it could only have,
Been sent from up above.

That was beautifully written. I really admired the first stanza, "I held you through your darkest hour,
Still you didnt know my name,
I stuck right by you through it all,
Even though you brought me shame".
    great job ;)
