There's a girl living my life.
She invades me everyday.
She tells me of all the wonderful things
that love can bring my way.
She tells me about roses on Valentine's Day,
and of love songs being sung to me.
I in-vision a life of patience and love
and I long to be happy and carefree.
She tells me there's only one man
who can make me weak at the knees.
"You can never know another love.",
she softly whispers to me.
I in-vision the perfect man,
though I cannot see his face.
I long for the day to find him,
like a long, steadfast pace.
She tells me of the way he smiles,
and his eyes look at only mine.
How is heart beats for another day
of sending shivers up my spine.
She tells me of how he stares at me
when I sleep at night.
How his eyes say a thousand words,
of how I make his darkness turn bright.
The depths of his soul carries a love,
a love he possesses for me.
Nothing can break the bond we have.
He is my inevitable future, you see.
We are in love unconditionally,
and no one can break us apart.
Our souls are each others,
and we've loved each other from the start.
She tells me to be patient
for he will be here soon enough.
I know he is out there somewhere near,
which makes it really tough.
She tells me to keep my eyes open,
and to keep my chin up high.
She says "He is coming your way,
Don't let him pass you by.
Don't set your standards high.
You'll only get let down.
There will be a lot of men in your life
Who only bring you frowns.
But every one of these guys,
you learn from in every way.
It only makes you stronger
and more prepared for each day."
So, I think to myself and wonder
How will I know if it's him?
Then she smiles and reassuringly quotes
"You, my dear, will know when."
So every day I wait and wait,
to feel a feeling of love.
She has told me of my happy times,
My angel from above!
