This pirate I know
Who? What is her name?
I’ve heard tales of her beauty
From deep in my sleep
While she sailed right along
I looked up to her face
And all feelings had fled
For one fleeing moment
Nothing else to me mattered
She saved my skin
With the sheer fairness of hers
So now I climb up
From my home at rock-bottom
To gaze at this pirate
The one in my dreams
While I sleep each night
Just to speak one word
In this dreamscape in me
Merge into one greatness
And for a moment, for me
She’s all that I know.
My pirate is in me
She’s commandeered my heart
To follow her here
To sleep and my dreams
Of this girl that I love
