Speaking To Emptiness

by JustAFoolInLove   Mar 8, 2005

Sniffles and Kleenex
Always airborne here
In this desolate place;
Barren of souls,
Lacking in life,
Yielding questions unanswered

I know that one day
I’ll seek the response
To inquiries thrown out
In desperation
Needing consolation
And comfort, galore!

Why don’t you listen,
Big world out there?
Is there no one to help me?
Am I lacking in friendship?
Beyond feelings escaping?
Am I all alone, emptiness?

No, I see people:
There here, and there,
Just none with me
I cannot be seen
No sounds can be heard
For I’m speaking to nothing

No one is here
So I leave you with one thought:
Where do I turn for help?
And what should I say?

Simply say, "I need you", m'love.

You know that I, as busy as I am, would drop whatever it is I'm doing if you ever, ever asked for my help or needed to talk to me.

So keep that in mind. I'm here for anything, and I'll do whatever i can. I swear.
