Stop cutting

by SammiBABY   Mar 8, 2005

XXx For all fellow cutters xXx

When will it stop, this addiction you’re feeding?
With every cut, your sadness is proceeding
As the knife comes across and leaves you bleeding,
The depression inside you is cruelly succeeding.

When will you give up, on ‘a sweet demise’
And think properly and realize
that you should stop the mindless attempts and tries
And be once again rid of needless lies?

Whenever you cut up your gorgeous skin,
It tears me up, but not just from within,
Because every time you stick the blade in,
My temptation starts winning and hope becomes thin.

So please honey can we make a deal,
To stop tearing ourselves to reflect how we feel,
Because I hate to see cuts on your beautiful skin,
that you cause with a knife, a razor or pin
And I know you feel the same as I do,
So stop cutting for me and I’ll stop cutting for you.

isn't that a contradiction of ones self to ask for the stopping of the cuts and whatnot but at the end to reveal you cut as well. No offense taken please because I similarily did the same thing with youths I used to help....but you need to recognize those things....but ahh its a wonderful poem, 5
