My War

by Jordana   Mar 8, 2005

Alone in a room, with walls so tight.
No where to go, all full of fright.
Day after day, year after year.
As people come in, I am filled with fear.

Hidden in a cupboard with no place to go.
Nowhere to stand, nowhere to grow.
I'm nonexistent in a world full of war.
A place full of slaughter, murder and horror.

No one to turn to, no mom or dad.
No shoulder to cry on, when I'm feeling sad.
The screams so faint, the bombs so loud.
My life will be spared, I quietly vowed.

Alone in the cupboard, with nothing to do.
Except sit there and pray, because I am a Jew.
After it's over, the whole world will see.
How lucky we are to be safe and free.
