The Beauty of Nature

by prettyinpink20   Mar 9, 2005

Traveling among the breeze
Following the wind
North, South, East, West
Darting around each bend

Splashing through the river
Bubbling through the brook
Gurgling over shining rocks
Enough beauty for a second look

Falling from the sky
Like a thousand tears
Raindrops pounding my tingling skin
Taking away all my fears

Crashing through the trees
Watching some tumble as they fall
The ever-changing leaves blowing in the wind
The trees stand mighty and tall

Fresh and fertile is the soil
Running in the dirt
Muddy, dry, and gritty
As my fingers smooth the Earth

The cold strikes my face
As the frozen raindrops hit the ground
The snowflakes, pure and white, no sin
They fall without a sound

Burning as the ashes fly
Colors all ablaze
Smoke billows around in the heat
As my throat burns in the haze

The air, the water, the rain, the trees, the Earth, the snow, and the blazing fire

The beauty of nature takes my breath away and soars it up much higher
