Sword Of Light

by JustAFoolInLove   Mar 9, 2005

My mind races like crazy
Through thoughts going hazy
As I’m looking to hold on
Just a desperate pawn
In a war fought unfairly
Where I’ll make it, but barely
For each time I think
I’m just on the brink
Of giving into my sorrow
Where there’s no need for tomorrow
I can hide behind guilt
Where I’ll fashion a hilt
For the sword being made
That makes all enemies fade
Right before my eyes

I’ve waited far too long
To let loose my song
From down, deep in my heart
Wake my soul with a start
To fight a battle I’ll win
Against my enemy; sin
This time, I’ll prevail
Make ancient foes wail
With a glorious rhyme
Thought once lost in time
But returned once more
To open a door
Housing brilliant light
So valiantly bright
That it defies all evil
