Nightly Guardian Angel (part two)

by Jacklyn   Mar 9, 2005

The calls continued,
As the visits increased,
Flowers filled the room,
With balloons that looked the same,

The medicine was no use,
But the doctors insist,
She still felt the same amount of pain,
Whether she took them or didn’t,

A check up every 60 minuets,
Dad and night she got little sleep,
As she laid there dieing slowly,
Everyone crowed by her crying,

Her mom came and read to her everyday,
It’s suppose to be good for the brain,
Which is exactly why she didn’t listen,
She was so tired of this pain,

Of the hospital trips,
Of the medicine and visits,
Of the tears that she wiped,
Of the cancer she was dealt,

All she wanted was to be normal,
To life without a care,
But the reality was clear,
She got cancer when she was 8,
She fought it for 4 years,
But she lost at a young age,
To be buried in the ground so young,

As her cat wonders through the house,
Crying for her loud,
In middle of the night,

He lies on her bed,
Where she use to cry herself to sleep,
When he was her nightly angel,
Bringing her comfort and peace,
Her guardian angle is all alone,
Because the little girl is nowhere to be found.
