Thanks for Nothing

by dandy   Mar 10, 2005

Thanks for nothing, and when you would lie;
Then you'd wonder why I'd cry.
These tears are burning and stinging my eyes,
but you don't seem to care because you're saying goodbye.

You were my king and I was your crown,
you brought me up when I was down,
but now you laugh like I'm a clown,
and you seem to smile whenever I frown.

What ever happened to make you this cold?
I now see you as steel when you used to be gold.
I guess the real you has started to unfold.
Return my heart, the one that I sold (to you).

Weather I like it or not, things turned out this way.
It was a sweeter man that you seemed to portray.
I guess there's nothing more to say,
except I hope I live to love another day.
